This two-day workshop offers in-depth exploration of research-based principles essential to an effective vocabulary program. Learn how educators determine what vocabulary terms and phrases students should learn and discuss how much students need to learn about each word. Examine what effective vocabulary instruction looks like in the classroom, including specific teaching strategies and protocols. Take away various games you can use in your classroom to teach vocabulary.
All participants will receive a copy of Remove Limits to Learning With Systematic Vocabulary Instruction by Bj Stone and Vicki Urquhart. |
