Margaret Boice, EdD, is assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction for Derby Public Schools in Connecticut. She is also an adjunct faculty member at several universities.

Margaret Boice, EdD, is assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction for Derby Public Schools in Connecticut. She is also an adjunct faculty member at several universities, including Sacred Heart University, Walden University, the University of Phoenix, and the College of St. Joseph. Meg has used the Professional Learning Communities at Work™ model to initiate instructional and organizational change. She is dedicated to sharing her expertise on educational leadership, managing school-improvement initiatives, and best practices for integrating technology into instruction.

After beginning her career as a mathematics teacher for grades 7–12 in Salinas, California, Meg later moved to Fairfax County, Virginia, where she taught math and served as department chair. In 1995, she moved to the administrative ranks. She has been an assistant principal at both the middle and high school levels and a middle school principal.

Meg is a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, American Association of School Administrators, National Council of Staff Development, and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Her work has been published in The Journal of the New England League of Middle Schools, Middle Ground, Apple, and Virginia Mathematics Teacher, among others. Her conference presentations focus on the middle school as a PLC, integrating technology into the school curriculum, best practice in instruction, appropriate uses of technology in differentiated instruction, and the importance of targeted, formative data.
