Do I need to have a team to attend a 2-day workshop? No—but we recommend it! Research suggests attending with a team allows you to apply your learning more seamlessly; however, if your team can't make it, you can always bring the event keynote back to your school or district.
How do I register a team? Please register members at the same time. To add an individual to the group, call Customer Service at 800.733.6786.
Will a workshop be worthwhile for me to attend as an individual or should I wait until I can register a team? While most workshops include built-in team time, many individuals attend with a train-the-trainer approach and plan their presentation during team time.
How do I register more than one individual at a time? Change the number in the quantity field and additional registration forms will populate. If you are planning to register 5 or more individuals, please use our multiple registration form. Email multiple registration forms to email@example.com.

If an event is sold out, what can I do? Contact Customer Service at 800.733.6786 to discuss waiting lists and alternative events, or to explore streaming the event live to your school or district.
How do I substitute another attendee for a registration I have already confirmed? Send your substitution request to email@example.com. Please include the name of the individual currently registered, the event, and your substitute's name and email address.
How do I cancel my registration? Email firstname.lastname@example.org. Cancellations more than 90 days prior to the event require a $75 processing fee per person ($100 per person for events in Canada). Cancellations between 10 and 90 days prior to the event require half the registration fee per person. Cancellations less than 10 days prior to the event will receive no refund.

How do I receive credit for attending a Solution Tree event? You will receive a certificate of attendance two weeks following the event. If you did not receive your certificate, please contact email@example.com.

What are the costs? Costs vary by expert, and travel and accommodation expenses are often included in the price. We'll work with you to create a sustainable plan that's budget friendly.

Will I be able to contact the expert before my PD date(s)? Absolutely! After the contracting process is complete, we'll put you in touch with your expert to plan for your PD date(s).
What can my staff do to prepare? We're happy to recommend relevant books, videos, webinars, and other resources to help your team prepare for your PD date(s). Your expert may also have suggestions.
How long is a typical PD workshop? A typical workshop lasts six to seven hours, including time for lunch and breaks.
Are resources included with the PD date(s)? In most cases, resources are not included in the price of your PD; however, volume discounts are available. We're happy to work with you to select materials that complement the focus of your PD.
How far in advance should I book my PD? We book dates as far in advance as two years and as close as two weeks before. We recommend that you try for sometime in between. Generally, a variety of factors, such as the time of year, the expert's schedule, etc., affect the process.
What's the best way to follow up a PD date(s)? Our interactive web or video conferences are a wonderful platform for following up with an expert.
Am I responsible for making my expert's travel arrangements? No, our experts handle their own travel arrangements.

How do I access my course? COURSE ACCESS: For credit card purchases, you will receive an email confirmation with your course access code. Your course begins once you receive your access code. You'll receive a reminder two weeks before your course access expires. For check or purchase orders, the order submitted online will not be confirmed until Solution Tree receives the check or a copy of the official purchase order. Your purchase order must note payment terms of net 30 days. We cannot process purchase orders that do not note these payment terms.
What if I need to withdraw from the course? RETURN POLICY: Refund requests for online courses must be received within 10 days from the date of purchase.
How is my work on the course scored? Each course is scored differently and contains a combination of coursework, participant reflection, quizzes, activities, and more. Only the 3 Semester Hour version and district versions have a midterm and a final exam.
For the 3 Semester Hour course, you'll receive feedback from certified educators. Grades on the midterm and final will be calculated using a rubric (provided to you). Grades are then submitted to Brandman University for credit.

What are the technical requirements for equipment, software, and web access? You don't need any special software. High-speed Internet access is best for streaming videos. The courses are compatible with most browsers (use compatibility mode for Internet Explorer 9).
What if I have trouble accessing the course? Who do I contact? Call 800.728.0032 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Eastern or email email@example.com. Be prepared to give your browser name and version (for example, Internet Explorer 10).
Will I have access to the eBook once my course has expired? You will continue to have access to your eBook after your course has expired. Two weeks before your course ends, you will be prompted with instructions on how to set up continued access to your eBook.
What is the format of the eBook? The eBook comes in a PDF format.
If my school district pays for the CEU version, can I pay the extra $280 to upgrade to the 3 Semester Hour course? You may pay the extra, but we must know before you enroll. Contact KDS at firstname.lastname@example.org before you begin the course to arrange upgrades and payment.
Can I upgrade the district version of the course that was customized for my district? If your districtwide course is customized for 45 hours, yes, you can choose to purchase the 3 Semester Hour course by paying the extra $220. How do I claim the 3 Semester Hours for my course? Credit is issued through Brandman University after they receive your final grade. Visit www1.kdsi.org/courses/Brandman-University for more information.
Is the credit I receive from Brandman University transferable? Credit from Brandman University is nontransferable.
How can I tell if the credits will apply to my state requirements? Credits vary by state and district. Check your state here: www.kdsi.org/Professional-Development.aspx. If you do not see your state listed with your course, check back soon, as more states are being added.
My school is outside the US. How can I tell if the credits will apply internationally? Email your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
I want to change some of the names and emails I sent in for my district. Is it too late? Changing names or emails may cause a delay in accessing the course. If the course has been accessed, we cannot issue a refund. If participant information needs to be changed, contact KDS at email@example.com before you begin the course.
How long will it be after I enroll before I have access to the course? You will receive your login when payment is received. If you call to enroll, it may be the next day. If you enroll on an order being processed through a PO, you will receive your login when payment is received.
Does Solution Tree charge sales tax? Yes. Enroll online and contact us if you plan to fax a copy of your sales tax exemption.
