This three-day digital discussion uses VoiceThread, a digital tool that offers participants a window of time to jump in and chat when it’s convenient for them.

If you’ve never joined in a VoiceThread conversation before, you’re in for a special treat. It is one of the easiest and most engaging digital discussion forums available to educators. A VoiceThread is a collaborative, multimedia slide show that holds images, documents, and videos and allows people to navigate slides and leave comments in 5 ways—using voice (with a mic or telephone), text, audio file, or video (via a webcam).

Our conversation will start October 6 and run through October 8, 2011. Assessment experts will stop by the VoiceThread a few times a day to answer questions and to spark new discussion. But the real value in the conversation will come from the collective wisdom of all participants.
